Powder or Granular Ammonium Sulphate Product Description

Ammonium sulphate is colorless/white particles/granule or crystal , Without odour. 280 °C above decomposition. Not soluble in ethanol and acetone.

The fine nitrogen fertilizer, used in general the soil and crop, can make the branches and leaves the vigorous growth, improve fruit quality and yield, enhance crops on disaster resistance ability, can according to the application for, and seeds.

Mascagnite is a rare ammonium sulfate mineral (NH4)2SO4. It crystallizes in the orthorhombic system typically forming as stalactitic masses exhibiting good cleavage.

It is soft (not higher than 2.5 on the Mohs Scale) and water soluble. Optical properties are variable; the purest form is transparent and colorless, but opaque gray or yellow deposits are also known.

Solubility in water

70.6 g/100 mL (0 °C)

74.4 g/100 mL (20 °C)

Powder or Granular Ammonium Sulphate Applications:
ammonium sulphate is good nitrogen fertilizer, suitable for general soil and crop, can make the branches and leaves the vigorous growth, improve fruit quality and yield, enhance the crops on disaster resistance ability, can make basic fertilizer, fertilizer, and seed manure.

Ammonium sulfate is used on a small scale in the preparation of other ammonium salts, especially ammonium persulfate.

Ammonium sulfate has also been used in flame retardant compositions acting much like diammonium phosphate.

As a flame retardant, it lowers the combustion temperature of the material, decreases maximum weight loss rates, and causes an increase in the production of residue or char.

Its flame retardant efficacy can be enhanced by blending it with ammonium sulfamate.

In chemical industry, as the raw materials of hydrogen peroxide, ammonium alum and ammonium chloride; the minor ingredient of ammonium persulfate, lysine.

In electroplating industry, as a plating bath additive.

In dyeing industry, as a dyeing auxiliaries of acid dyes.

In leather industry, as a deliming agent.

In food industry, as a dough conditioning agent (fermentation medium), a catalyst of sauce food.

In pharmaceutical industry, as a salting-out agent, it can purifying proteins by precipitation

In pesticide industry, as a adjuvant agent. Add in water soluble insecticides, herbicides, and fungicides, such as 2,4-D Amine Salt, glyphosate, and glufosinate herbicides

Powder or Granular Ammonium Sulphate Attention:
Ammonium sulphate are acidic fertilizers. It can increase the acidity of the soil, Therefore should pay attention to use in acidic soils with alkaline fertilizer, such as plant ash, phosphate rock powder or calcium magnesium phosphate and so on.

Use in neutral and alkaline soil alkaline soils, in order to prevent calcium ion combined with sulfate ion to insoluble calcium sulfate (gypsum), caused by soil hardened, and should apply with organic fertilizer.
