Chemical name: | Magnesium Hydroxide |
CAS No. : | 1309-48-4 |
Formula: | Mg(OH)2 |
APPLICATION:
Magnesium Hydroxide - Mg(OH)2 is a novel flame retardant filler. Once being heated, the bound water released in the decomposition can absorb large quantities of latent heat, which not only reduce the surface temperature of the composite materials in the flame, but also inhibit the decomposition of the polymer and cool down the combustible gas. The magnesium oxide generated in the decomposition is also a good type of refractory material.
Magnesium Hydroxide is recognized as a kind of excellent flame retardant with three functions of Halogen free, Smoke suppression and Filling function in the Rubber & Plastic industry.
Magnesium Hydroxide Flame Retardant is widely used in rubber, chemicals, building materials, electronics, plastic, unsaturated polyester, paint, coatings and other polymer materials.
FEATURES:
* Halogen free, non-toxic.
* Smoke suppression.
* Filling function.
* An average particle size of 1.7um for D50, and less than 4um for D97.
* High degree of integration with PE, EVA and other materials.
* High coating rate, good dispersity and fluidity, high oxygen index.
* No white spot or bubble, high crack resistance
